Summer Blast Day Camp

Summer Blast provides enriching experiences where everyone will enjoy a summer full of nature, water fun, games, field trips, sports, and arts and crafts. Each week will allow participants to explore new activities in a fun and safe atmosphere. Dates, times, cost, and other details listed below are subject to change.

Summer 2024Registration Time and Locations:Registration will open at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at the following locations: Deep Creek Community Center, Indian River Community Center and South Norfolk Community Center.
Registration must be only in person at the location the child would be attending, and payment must be made at the time of registration. The only way to reserve your child's space each week is to pay for that week. All participants must be at least 6 years old and have completed kindergarten. No exceptions.

Time9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday (No early drop-offs.)
Cost$25 Registration Fee, $100 per week ($105 per week for non-Chesapeake residents).
Camp LocationsReduced Fee ProgramThe Youth Scholarship and Reduced Fee Program offers Chesapeake families financial assistance for their child(ren) to participate in fee-based recreation programs. Scholarships in the amount of $65 per calendar year are available to Chesapeake youth ages 17 and under whose family receives public assistance as defined and confirmed by the Chesapeake Human Services Department.
Reduced Fees for Summer Blast and Stay and Play may change year to year depending on fee increases. The child/family must receive public assistance as defined and confirmed by the Chesapeake Human Services Department. Summer Blast and Stay and Play Reduced Fee participants cannot add the $65 scholarship to their account. An application (PDF) must be completed (one application per child) and approved prior to registration in order to receive the reduced fee rate and spots are limited.
