The Planning Department conducted a series of six Rural Area Listening Sessions in the fall of 2023. The information gathered from those sessions was presented to the City Council on November 27th, 2023.
Following the presentation, the City Council adopted an Initiating Resolution (PDF) directing staff to amend the Subdivision and Zoning Ordinances to address Agricultural Subdivisions. The application, PLN-TXT-2023-013, titled Agricultural and Conservation Divisions was heard by the Planning Commission on February 14, 2024, at which time it was continued to provide an opportunity for further input.
