The Austin Police Department (APD) Robbery Unit is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects involved in a robbery that occurred at the Champs Sports located at 2901 South Capital of Texas Highway. The robbery happened on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at approximately 1:17 p.m.
The suspects, whose descriptions and photos are included below, entered the store and stole several items. As an employee tried to recover the merchandise, the suspects attacked and injured the victim. Suspect #1 is described as:
- Black male
- Approximately 25-26 years of age
- Approximately 6' tall
- Heavy build
- Black, curly hair
- Slight facial hair
He was last seen wearing:
- Hoodie with tan on top and white on bottom
- Tan sweatpants
- Black and white Nike shoes
Suspect #2 is described as:
- Black female
- Approximately 22 to 23 years of age
- Approximately 5'5"- 5'6" tall
- Shoulder-length, black hair
- Possibly a tattoo on her lower back
She was last seen wearing:
- Black jacket
- White shirt
- Denim shorts
- Black and red Air Jordan 1 shoes.
