APD Detectives Search for a Suspect in Connection to a Robbery

Case:  24-0380670 Date:  2/7/2024 Time:  1:27 p.m. Location:  5000 Springdale Road

                                   

 The Austin Police Department (APD) Robbery Unit is requesting the public’s assistance with identifying a suspect involved in a robbery that occurred at the Dollar General located at 5000 Springdale Road. The incident happened on February 7, 2024 at approximately 1:27 p.m. The suspect, whose description and photo are included below, assaulted an employee who had attempted to stop the shoplifting. The suspect described as:

        

  • Black male
  • 30-40 years of age
  • 6’0” or taller
  • Thin build
  • Short buzzed black hair
  • Black mustache/goatee
  • He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, dark sweat pants, and white/black tennis shoes

 Anyone with any information should contact APD’s Robbery unit at 512-974-5092. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for any information that leads to an arrest.
